Green beer is a St. Patrick's Day staple, but a green river takes real dedication (and 35 pounds of dye)! The San Antonio takes on a distinctive hue and becomes an honorary River Shannon during the course of the weekend's festivities. A boisterous river pub crawl commences the weekend, which ends on a more sedate note as barges cruise the emerald waters during Sunday's River Parade. You might need a bit of luck to beat the crowd – this 3-day bash attracts an estimated 18,000 attendees. |
