ROANOKE. This inviting restaurant, which has a sister establishment in Southlake, has developed quite a following thanks to its great menu and ambience. The New American cuisine takes local ingredients and throws in global sophistication so that you're met by Asian-marinated chicken, grilled pork with tamarind-raisin chutney, and a medley of grilled meats and seafood served with a tangy sauce. Steaks and fresh fish also make appearances, and daily specials bring unanticipated pleasures. Salads are satisfying but light enough for those who crave smaller portions. You'll have to drive a bit to reach Classic Cafe, but the excellent cuisine is a just reward for your efforts. |
