Description:
|
Built as a wedding home for Electra Waggoner Wharton in 1903, this red-brick Georgian Revival mansion boasts eighteen rooms and five fireplaces. When the Whartons moved to their ranch in 1910, the new owners upgraded the home with imported tiles, marble columns, and wrought iron detailing. From the 1940s to the 70s, the estate was occupied by the Girls Service League and then bought and restored by a community group. These days, following extensive repairs, the home is a Quality Hills showplace, complete with Tiffany windows and other dramatic interior features. The home is now available for tours and special-occasion rentals. |
