Description:
|
Built in 1889, this Queen Anne-styled home was designed by architect Howard Messer and built for widow Sarah C. Ball on a hill above the Trinity River. Set in the Quality Hill area, a neighborhood originally occupied by cattle barons, the home is distinguished by its elaborate massing, brick-and-stone foundation, and five chimneys. It features a wraparound porch and incredible interior woodwork. The beautiful home was purchased by the Junior League in 1979 and opened to the public. |
