Bass Performance Hall
(Attractions & Activities - Cultural Venues)
525 Commerce St, Fort Worth  76102 • 877-212-4280
Description: Everyone in Fort Worth knows the angels on Bass Performance Hall. In fact, it's almost impossible to imagine the city without their presence and this grand tribute to the arts. Completed in 1998, the stately limestone building, located in Sundance Square, is home to numerous cultural organizations, including the Texas Ballet Theater, Fort Worth Symphony, and the Fort Worth Opera. Patrons to the hall are regaled by theater shows, Broadway productions, and a variety of musical artists. The magnificent structure, designed by David Schwarz, is considered the last great performance hall built in the 20th century. Its angels, who play golden trumpets, are 240-feet tall and were carved by sculptor Márton Váró. A gift shop and tours are available.
