Description:
|
When it was built in 1908, the Cowtown Coliseum was the premiere venue for livestock exhibition in the country. The building was also the site of the world's first indoor rodeo in 1918. Other memorable events include appearances by Theodore Roosevelt, Elvis Presley, and Jimmy Carter. Nowadays, the coliseum hosts a variety of events, including live rodeos every Friday and Saturday night. During summer months, the place also hosts Pawnee Bill's Wild West Show each Saturday and Sunday afternoon. The original Wild West Show was brought to the Coliseum in 1918. |
