SOUTH SIDE. The menu tells of Tessie Mae Hullficker, a woman who turned the family service station into a restaurant to serve her favorite TV dinners and BBQ. Indeed, Double Wide Grill does have a "TV dinner" served on a metal, divided tray, but don't be fooled – the food is nothing like microwave dinners. On weekends, for example, brunch offerings include the mammoth-size Trucker Breakfast (two eggs, meat, and home fries) as well as huevos rancheros, steak & eggs, and the self-explanatory Large Stack O Pancakes. |
