Mayor's Annual Christmas Parade

        Description: For Baltimore locals, nothing ushers in the holidays quite like the Mayor's Annual Christmas Parade. Santa Claus is the star of the parade, and you'll also see motorheads on Harleys, colorfully decorated floats and marching bands in the procession, which travels 2.5 miles, from the Poly/Western High School to 37th Street.

St. Patrick's Day Parade

        Description: If you're in Baltimore for St. Patty's Day, don't forget your green – it's a big bash. Festivities begin with a 5K run at 1:30pm, and then at two o'clock the parade starts at the Washington Monument in Mount Vernon Park. You'll hear marching bands and bagpipes, and see an array of brilliant costumes in the procession, which concludes at Pratt Street and the Marketplace.

Brew at the Zoo

        Description: This annual fundraiser for the Maryland Zoo features live music, craft vendors and animals, of course, but the main attraction is the beer. Over 20 local breweries contribute, so there's plenty of selection. Tickets include zoo admission and 10 beer tickets. Blankets and chairs are permitted, but leave your picnic baskets, four-legged friends, coolers and pop-up tents at home.
