Atlantic Country Club
(Attractions & Activities - Public Golf Courses)
450 Little Sandy Pond Rd, Plymouth  02360 • 508-759-6644
Description: With oversized, elevated greens, difficult approach shots are common on this exceptional course. To add to the difficulty level, the wide fairways are well mounded and guarded by a number of bunkers. In fact, you are often forced to make approach shots from awkward lies. Reading these greens can be difficult as well, with many being multi-tiered and relatively quick.

Ballymeade Golf & Country Club
(Attractions & Activities - Public Golf Courses)
125 Falmouth Woods Rd, East Falmouth  02536 • 508-540-4005
Description: Keep it straight off the tee as trouble lines these well-manicured fairways. A premium is placed on accuracy as several water hazards and even more bunkers will collect errant shots. While the elevation allows several scenic views of Martha's Vineyard, the unprotected areas often produce shot altering winds.

48 Theater Rd, Hatchville  02536 • 508-563-6109
Description: This traditional course is set among a number of large trees and protected by an oversized pond. New England Country Club
(Attractions & Activities - Public Golf Courses)
180 Paine St, Bellingham  02019 • 508-883-2300
Description: This Massachusetts course plays longer than the yardage due to the hilly nature of the terrain, and several holes actually cross over into Rhode Island. Narrow fairways demand accuracy off the tee and large greens require careful club selection on approach shots. Overhanging trees, mounded fairways, and undulating greens increase the difficulty level from shot to shot.

Olde Barnstable Fairgrounds Golf Course
(Attractions & Activities - Public Golf Courses)
1460 Rte 149 , West Barnstable  02668 • 508-420-1142
Description: While Mother Nature played a large part, the front nine and back nine appear to be from two different courses. The open front nine is the result of a past hurricane, and the back nine features narrow, tree-lined fairways with rolling hills and small, undulating greens. Finding the line and controlling the speed on these difficult greens will be the key to a good round.

58 Randall Rd, Stow  01775 • 978-568-1100
Description: Winding its way through a thickly wooded pine forest, this course features relatively flat fairways.
